You can change the lock s combination whenever you want. Keyless entry locks can t be picked like traditional locks because there are no keys. First open the door and lift off the lock s interior cover. Press the checkmark once and then enter the master code.

Once complete the schlage door lock will be completely reset to the original factory settings. It s possible to make it practically impossible for someone to guess the code on you keyless lock because you can choose to use up to six digits for your code. Find a reset tool. If done correctly you should see the button flash at which point the unit will beep three times and you would then enter your old four digits lock key code twice to confirm.

If your lock is stuck in the closed position you will need to contact a locksmith or use bolt cutters to open it yourself. To delete the old combination press schlage button and number 2 at the same time to trigger the combination change setting. Press the lock symbol once at the bottom right of the keypad. You will need to start with the lock in an open position.
