If you are jumping on concrete that might be a little hard on the joints.

There are also many ways to make it harder like weighted jump ropes and all the variations tricks.
What i ll do is jump rope in rounds of 1 3 minutes depending on my pace with a minute of rest in between.
I suggest you follow some progression like buddy lee s in order to keep things interesting.

Great cardio but 10 minutes is pretty ridiculous if you re going at even a moderate pace.
Using it as a warm up is great.
When its nice out i still like going on occasional runs but treadmills are the worst.
